On March 13, 2025, Thai Sintokogio won 2nd place in the International Kaizen Contest with its “Moving Toward Low CO₂” initiative at the Sinto Toyokawa Factory. The project focused on reducing waste and recycling to lower CO₂ emissions, based on the belief that everyone is part of the change.​

Key actions included:

• Composting food scraps and leaves into fertilizer, donated to customers and agencies.

• Reusing plastic bottles to grow vegetables, sold at affordable prices.

• Expanding green space by planting more trees. These efforts led to a 23% reduction in CO₂ emissions and annual savings of 985,000 JPY, surpassing the target of 20%.
